Volunteer

Puget Sound Beekeepers Association is a 100% volunteer run organization.  And the good news is that volunteering is fun!!

  • Want to share how good honey is with others? Work the PSBA table at one of the local festivals we attend!
  • Want to get kids interested in nature, beekeeping and helping the honey bee? We have speaking opportunities at local elementary schools!
  • Want to write a monthly blurb about something “honey bee”? Be a part of our Publishing Committee!
  • Want to have a say about how PSBA is run? Become a board member!

We have a number of committees that need volunteers (Research, Education, Meeting Coordination, etc.) as well as the opportunities to get out and have fun teaching people about honey bees!

Research

Throughout the year, PSBA members conduct research on a variety of topics: How much honey does a colony need to survive winter in the Pacific Northwest? Are there too many urban hives in Seattle?

Some of these projects will need your help! Visit the PSBA Research Blog to see where you can help or fill out the form above and check the box next to “Research”.
