2013 Field Day – Good Time Had By All!

PSBA brought Field Day back last Saturday and it was a huge success with more than 70 people in attendance! In the a.m., Randy Oliver spoke about the Biology of the Beehive, covered varroa mite management and demonstrated Nosema testing. After breaking for lunch (thanks to Gail & Jean for making each and every lunch!), the group moved to PSBA’s Apiary where attendees learned about WASBA’s Master Beekeeping Program, Waggle Dances and more! The highlight for everyone was spending time inspecting hives along side Randy Oliver. His agility and insights in each hive is a real gift for any beekeeper to watch!

Have a look at pictures from day…see you next year!
